DAY 1 Arrive at Shimla / Sightseeing

Arrive at the hotel and check in. Refresh & relax. Late afternoon visit Jakhu Temple. Dedicated to the monkey god, Jakhu temple stands on the top of the hill offering a panoramic view of the Himalayas. Thereafter visit the Vice regal Lodge is a heritage building that is situated on the Observatory Hill of Shimla. Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive at Munnar / Sightseeing

Arrive and check into the hotel. Later take a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit the Blossom National Park. Afternoon visit Tea museum & Pothamedu view point. If time permits, see Kathakali & Martial art shows at Mudra Art Centre (6 pm) (optional and at extra cost). Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2 Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Eravikulam National Park, Rose Garden, Mattupetty Dam, boating (optional), Elephant arrival point, Echo point, Kundala dam and lake. Evening return to the Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 Munnar to Thekkady (3 hr 30 min, 100 km)

After breakfast, drive to Thekkady. Arrive at Thekkady and check into the hotel. Go for a boat ride on Periyar Lake (optional and at extra charge) and view the wildlife from the boat. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4 Thekkady to Kumarakom (3 hr 30 min, 112 km)

After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Check in at the Hotel. Afternoon take a sightseeing tour of Kumarakom. Visit the Bay Island Driftwood Museum, the only one of its kind in the country, which houses a unique collection of driftwood sculptures. From here drive to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Located on the banks of the Vembanad lake, this Sanctuary is a favorite of migratory birds like the siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5 Depart from Kumarakom

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Depart from Kumarakom to onward destination.
