Is that the individual of the intense Leaf Historic District – a 340-acre (1.4 klick square) field comprising primarily historic tobacco warehouses.
Brightleaf sq. Occupies the previous Watts and Yuille tobacco warehouses, that were engineered from 1900 to 1904 by the yankee Tobacco Company. Designed in associate degree Italianate vogue and made with ornate brick exteriors, these buildings were originally used for storing, aging, and chemical process tobacco for butt manufacture. In 1980, the SEHED Development Corporation bought the buildings and commenced renovating them so as to accommodate business use. The advanced underwent more renovations in 2004.
