The Nurpur fort is the main attraction of this small town. Originally built before the 10th century, it was the main seat of the Pathania Kings. It was destroyed partially by the British and the great earthquake which hit this region in April 1905 AD. Most of the fortress is in ruins, but it is still worth visiting. the theru wali mata temple is also a good place to see, which is situated on the top of a small hill and about 250 m from the Pathankot.

It is nearly 16 km away from Pathankot bus stand and stands among the greenery on T-2 road of Jugial Township. Many devotees visit this Temple daily irrespective of their religion. Laxmi Narayan Mandir is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Matha Laxmi. The small temple in green surroundings has idols of God Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi side by side on the altar. In the courtyard there is a huge statue of Hanumanji on top of the exterior there are three more sculptures of Vishnu, Laxmi and Hanumanji on the entrance side. Outside the temple there are huge palm trees and a well maintained garden where visitors can sit and relax. Close to Laxmi Narayan Mandir, there are some more tourist attractions.
