Luturu Mahadev Temple is a Popular tourist destination Devoted to the Hindu God Shiva, this temple was built by the king of Baghal in 1621.
According to a myth, Lord Shiva appeared in the king’s dream and asked him to build the temple. A prominent site during the Shivratri festival, the temple houses a Shivalingam, the symbol of the deity. Located on top of a hill, the temple is a classic example of Shikhara style architecture. It offers a splendid view of the surroundings as it is situated at a high altitude.

HPRTC buses offer bus connectivity from all cities in Himachal Pradesh to Shimla. Frequent ordinary and deluxe bus services are available from Delhi to Shimla. Overnight buses are available from Delhi (360 km, 9 hours, Rs 900 for AC Volvo bus) and Chandigarh (120 km, 4 hours and Rs 500 for AC Volvo bus).
The local transport system consists of buses. The local buses ply along the circular road which creates a ring around the city. The buses are a good way to get around the city and they are inexpensive.
Train : Shimla has a meter gauge railway station. It connects to the nearest broad gauge station at Kalka, which is at a distance of 89 km from Shilmla. Kalka has good connectivity from Chandigarh (Kalka Shatabdi), Ambala (Barmer Klk Exp), Delhi (Himalayan Queen), Mumbai (Paschim Express) and Kolkata (Howrah-Kalka). There are no direct trains from Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. Taxi services are available from Kalka to Shimla and charge is about Rs 1,750.
