The Church is approximately one and half kms. from Dalhousie’s bus stand. The Church building is in good condition but needs more than what is currently being offered. A brick boundary wall has been erected around it to save the building from mischief mongers. The entrance gate is always closed but you can go inside from the right corner of the main boundary wall. No matter if it remains closed now, it will always remind everyone of the great British ruling time.

The temple was built in the year 1845 and is dedicated to Goddess Kali who is also known as Shyamala. It is from the name of Goddess Shyamala that Shimla derives its name. Ice Skating, Shimla is one of the very places in the country where Ice skating can be enjoyed. This is a difficult sport that can be undertaken only by experts. Held only during the winters (November to March) the ice skating rink is located near the Rivoli bus stand.For those who want to learn this sport, various sessions are conducted during morning and evening by the Ice Skating Club of Shimla. Membership is also provided for short and long terms courses. Basic equipment required to enjoy the sport are also available at the rink. An ice skating festival is also organized here in the month of January, by the ice skating club of Shimla and sees a lot of tourist participation.
