 Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary

Bhagvan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary is 53 kilometres away from the state capital, Panaji. Bhagvan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary is the Molem National Park.Within the Bhagvan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, herds of deer and gaurs (Indian bison), clusters of monkeys, Malayan giant squirrels, cobras and pythons are housed in the sanctuary. There are also elephants and tigers, but spotting them could be a tough job. The sanctuary is also home to a few black panthers; and spotting them is not an easy task either.

Madei Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Sattari takula in North Goa. The forests of the Mhadei Wildlife sanctuary are part of the Western Ghats forests and are teaming with wildlife especially in the monsoons. Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at 53 kms away from Panaji, the capital of Goa. Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary in Goa is the smallest among the wildlife reserves in this state. The Sanctuary is known more as a wildlife resort than a sanctuary due to its relatively small area. Within its area, the Bondla sanctuary houses a rose garden, botanical garden, deer safari park and a zoo, originally established as a refuge for wounded or orphaned animals. The zoo provides a glance of the animal species found in the sanctuary. The botanical garden holds a great variety of exotic plants. The Nature Education Center here is an attempt to bring people close to nature.

Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is located on western tip of the Island of Chorao along the river Mandovi, Goa, in India.Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is located on the Chorao islands, named after the world famous ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali, covering an area of approx 1.8 sq km, the park is located on a beautiful island which has not dropped any of its old Portuguese charm complete with villas and Churches which are white-washed. Covered by exquisite greenery which includes mangrove vegetation and washed by a network of mini river streams and tributaries the sanctuary plays host to a variety of birds such as eagles, kites, kingfishers, egrets, parrots, cormorants, herons etc. Coots and Pintails visit during the winter season.

1. Baga Beach

Baga Goa India is smaller than the Calangute and Colva beaches lying on either side of it. 3. Fort Aguada

Fort Aguada is located around 22 km from Bardez, Fort Aquada boasts of the first ever light house in Asia. Fort Aguada is characterized by a four-storey Portuguese lighthouse erected in 1864, the oldest of its kind in Asia. The structure was once the grandstand of 79 cannons, with a moat around it. The fort is so large that it dominates the entire peninsula at the south-western tip of Bardez.  Photographic opportunities galore and you can capture the fort from different perspectives.

4. Chapora Fort

Chapora Fort is located 12 km from Mapusa, lies the Chapora Fort. Chapora fort was built by the Adil Shah of Bijapur on the southern headland of the Chapora River. It was also known as “Shahpur” and is now mostly ruined. It has a commanding view of the Vagator beach and is near to Anjuna beach.

5. Anjuna Flea Market

Anjuna Flea Market located near the Famous Anjuna Beach. Anjuna Flea market was originally started in 1970’s by the foreigners who wanted to sell off their second-hand goods like cameras, watches, clothes etc. Now it has emerged as one of the major attractions of Goa. This market is full of Tibetan craft stalls, Nepalese and Kashmiri artefacts including jewellery, stones, rock bottom priced clothes, Variety of bags, bakery items (cakes, strudel and breads). Other stalls include Tattoing (both permanent & Mehndi), hair cutting etc.

6. Tito’s Street

Tito’s,located in Tito’s Lane, Baga – Calangute Road, Goa, India.Tito’s bar is one of the most modern, well-equipped and acoustically aesthetic discotheque in Goa. Dudhsagar waterfalls situated at a distance of 60 Km from Margoa. The Dudh Sagar waterfalls have a milky white appearance which is why it is named as Dudhsagar which literally means “Ocean of Milk”. The Dudhsagar waterfalls plunge down from a staggering height of 2000 feet. The waterfall is located amongst lush green surroundings of the forests of Western Ghats which is what makes it even more scenic and beautiful. During monsoons the Dudhsagar waterfall becomes very lively and attracts tourists in hordes.
