Itinerary
DAY 1 Arrive at Munnar / Sightseeing
Arrive and check into the hotel. Later take a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit the Blossom National Park. Afternoon visit Tea museum & Pothamedu view point. If time permits, see Kathakali & Martial art shows at Mudra Art Centre (6 pm) (optional and at extra cost). Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Eravikulam National Park, Rose Garden, Mattupetty Dam, boating (optional), Elephant arrival point, Echo point, Kundala dam and lake. Evening return to the Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 Munnar to Thekkady (3 hr 30 min, 100 km)
After breakfast, drive to Thekkady. Arrive at Thekkady and check into the hotel. Go for a boat ride on Periyar Lake (optional and at extra charge) and view the wildlife from the boat, or visit Kumily, where many spices are traded, and Chellarkovil, known for its waterfalls and hilly terrains. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4 Thekkady to Alleppey (4 hrs, 165 km)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Alleppey. Arrive at Alleppey and check into your Houseboat/Hotel by noon. Enjoy beautiful villages, paddy fields, small churches, temples and day-to-day life of village people. Overnight at the Houseboat/Hotel.
DAY 5 Alleppey to Kovalam (5 hr 30 min, 180 km)
After breakfast, drive to Kovalam. Check in at the beach resort, the day is for exploring the coastal stretch of Kerala. You can enjoy the sand, the cuisine and the famous Kerala massages. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kovalam.
DAY 6 Daytrip to Kanyakumari/Trivandrum
After breakfast, take a daytrip to Kanyakumari at extra cost and go for sightseeing of Vivekanada rock, Museum & Beach; or, drive to Trivandrum and visit Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple and Kanaka Kunnu Palace. Return to Kovalam in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7 Depart from Kovalam
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Depart from Kovalam to onward destination.
