One57, at one time called Carnegie fifty seven, could be a 75-story (marketed as 90-story) building presently beneath construction at 157 West 57th Street within the Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan, ny town. Upon completion in 2014, it’ll stand at 306 meters (1004 feet) tall, creating it the tallest residential building within the town, but it’s projected to be overtaken by 432 Park Ave. Once completed in 2015. The building can have ninety two condominium units on high of a replacement Park Hyatt building with 210 rooms. The contractor is Lend Lease Project Management & Construction, and also the developer is Extell Development Company.
Extell Development Company’s founder and President, point of entry Barnett, spent fifteen years collecting the property and air rights on 57th Street. At first, he aforesaid he wished to create a three hundred,000 square-foot building, however plans for views of the park took form because the assemblage got larger and markets started rising to new levels.
