Masset could be a village in Haida Gwaii in Canadian province, Canada. It’s set on the northern coast of Graham Island, the biggest island within the solid ground, and is about fifty metric linear unit (31 mi) west of terra firma Canadian province. It’s the western terminus of the Yellowhead road. Throughout the Maritime Fur Trade of the first nineteenth century Masset was a key mercantilism web site.
The name Masset was a present from the Captain of a Spanish vessel that was repaired with the help of the Haida voters of Atewaas, Kayung and Jaaguhl. These 3 villages accepted the gift and adopted the name Masset to commemorate what can be the primary ever contact between Europeans and also the Haida.A FRD-10 based mostly military intelligence gathering station, CFS Masset, that was key in observance communications within the northern parts of the previous Union of Soviet Socialist Republics throughout the conflict is found simply outside Masset, close to the northern tip of Graham island.
