Elgin may be a rural municipality of but five hundred individuals in Quebec, Canada. The population as of the North American country 2006 Census was 458. It’s situated southwest of Huntingdon and delimited by the Trout and Chateauguay rivers and also the Quebec – America border. The councilors and other people of Elgin still worth and shield their ‘forgotten corner’ of Quebec, with its history, quiet roads, forests and rivers.
The Municipality of the administrative district of Elgin was shaped in 1855, with the current government building being in-built 1869. Its tiny fields and lots of stone homes attest to the primary Scottish settlers WHO began inward within the early nineteenth century.
