The David S. Brown Store at eight Thomas Street between Broadway and Church Street within the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan, the big apple town was in-built 1875-76 for a soap manufacturer. It absolutely was designed by J. Morgan Slade within the Victorian Gothic vogue, as influenced by John Ruskin and French branch of knowledge theory. The building has been known as “An elaborate confection of Romanesque architecture, Venetian Gothic, brick, sandstone, granite, and iron components…” The building was selected a brand new royal line town landmark in 1978, and was further to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
