 4. Banana Ride

Parasailing around Sinquerim beach, Candolim beach and Calangute beach is recommended and gives you a spectacular view of grounded tanker River Princess. Parasailing involves attaching a rope, about 300 feet long to the para-sail harness at one end and the other end to the speedboat. As the speedboat speeds off into the ocean, the sailor is heaved up in the air. The sailor is firmly attached to the rope and thus has little or no control over the parachute.

On Wednesday there is a special flea market held right on the sandy beachfront with a host of services also available including tattooing, hair cutting and body piecing.Originally started by foreigners who wanted to sell off their second-hand items such as cameras, watches and even clothes, the Anjuna market today has quite a different appearance.Held every Wednesday, near the famous Anjuna beach, it is a major attraction for people from Goa as well as the tourists.

7. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is located on western tip of the Island of Chorao along the river Mandovi, Goa, in India.Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is located on the Chorao islands, named after the world famous ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali, covering an area of approx 1.8 sq km, the park is located on a beautiful island which has not dropped any of its old Portuguese charm complete with villas and Churches which are white-washed. Covered by exquisite greenery which includes mangrove vegetation and washed by a network of mini river streams and tributaries the sanctuary plays host to a variety of birds such as eagles, kites, kingfishers, egrets, parrots, cormorants, herons etc. Coots and Pintails visit during the winter season.

Sunburn festival in Goa

Goa is one of the hosting grounds for the famous 3-day dance and music Sunburn festival. Many enthusiasts across the globe throng Goa during this festival and have the time of their lives. The festival offers music, entertainment, food and shopping. In 2013, 7 massive stages were erected, each with a different theme. The EDM music attracts many tourists and it’s known to be Asia’s largest 3-day Electronic Music Festival. Though Sunburn wraps up by 10:00 pm, the after parties are certainly something to look forward to! Last season, the crowds were entertained by Tiesto, Hardwell, Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia, Nicky Romero and Avicii.

Popular VJ Nikhil Chinapa began this music festival in Goa. Supersonic, held at Candolim promotes local as well as international talent. While Sunburn is more popular among EDM enthusiasts, we must say, one should give Supersonic a chance!

Saturday Night Market

The Saturday Night Market in Arpora functions only during the peak months, from November to April. The market starts from 6 pm and is open till the wee hours of morning. Music, food, some amazing clothes and accessories from across the globe, vintage items and live concerts are a part of this market. It’s more inviting during December due to its hippie atmosphere, a unique experience that you won’t get anywhere in India!
