Once had a lovely ambiance long time ago has regained its stature as cheap nature garden or a mini amusment park. You will enjoy large open space, some beautiful fountains, candy/popcorn stall, five or six rides like cups and saucers, roller coaster etc, children’s train, caterpillar etc (Rs10/- per ride/popcorn/candy). It is easily accessible, being in one of the most active colonies of Jalandhar-Model Town. Expect calm soothing environment and more, you could sit quietly on the grass or scream on the roller coaster. Since adjacent to Model Town (MT) market, going for some shopping, eating Gole Gapee/Pani Puri, Bhel Puri & just for gheri is no problem. Do visit Model Town market, if you visit Niku Park. Parkesh Bakery in MT market is the right place for buying snacks, cakes, gifts & soft drinks. During good old days, there used to be a manual machine installed on the counter of the bakery, where the sales person will slice the bread loaf for you & pack it giving a nice, fresh look of the bread. If you would like to see community, sundays are the best days to go. Besides these, Prithvi’s Planet Bowling Alley is another place to visit.

Kartarpur Gurdwara in Jalandhar district is a famous Gurudwara constructed in 1656 A.D. by the Fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjun Devji. The small town of Kartarpur is situated 16 km from Jalandhar. The birth anniversary the Fifth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Arjun Devji is celebrated every year with lot of grandeur. During the fair, huge numbers of people from all over the country come here to pay homage to the Guru and get his blessings.

The town of Kartarpur was founded by the fifth Sikh Guru Arjan Devji when he visited the place in the year 1598. The town is also historically important as Kartarpur is the birth place of Swami Virjanand, the guru of the well known social reformer and founder of the Arya Samaj Swami Dayanand Saraswati. In memory of Swami Virjanand, a memorial known as Guru Virjanand Smark has been built by his devotees. The architecture of Gurdwara Tham Sahib is magnificent with a square plan comprising of five-storey elevation.

The famous Shiv Mandir in Jalandhar is located at Gur Mandi, near Imam Nasir Mausoleum. It dates back to the Lodhi Era. It is believed to have been built by the Nawab of Sultanpur Lodhi. Devi Talab Mandir is the most prominent place/structure of modern Jalandhar City. It is one of the most ancient , magnificent , vast and active temple of Jalandhar and along side area, with pyramidal shikhara of grabha griha covered with plates of gold and main shrine surrounded by sacred water pond(200 yrs. Old). It is basically complex of various temples. Main one, located in the centre enclosed by pond is the Temple of Mother Goddess Durga ( Maa Sherain Wali). It is shakti pith which is one of the 51 shaktipithas which is know as Tripurmalini. Other temples are of oldest Maa Kali temple. Next to it is Sun Temple, Replica of Shri Amarnath is also made on the side, gardens annapurna and living accommodations.
The temple complex also hosts annually “Hariballabh Sangeet Sammelan” is held every year in the precincts of Devi Talab Mandir for the last 125 years. It is the biggest and oldest-living congregation cum competition of North Indian Classical Music.
