Archaeological Museum, formerly known as the Bhopal Museum, displays at this museum are coins, excavated artefacts, paintings, tribal handicrafts, musical instruments, figurines and sculptures which provide an insight about the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh.Main exhibits at this museum are precious artefacts including statues of Lakshmi and Buddha and images of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Parvathi. Paintings of different schools and copies of paintings from the Bagh caves are other important displays at the museum. The museum also harbours a fine carving of two couples from Khajuraho and 87 Jain bronzes that were retrieved from Dhar during the Paramara Dynasty (12th century). Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, also referred to as The National Museum of Mankind, is spread across an area of 200 acres. This place happens to be the only tribal habitat in the world, exhibiting contemporary tribal cultures and actual-size dwellings of typical tribal villages of Indian states. The one of a kind museum is situated in a prehistoric site and displays a vivid collection of pre-historic painted rock shelters, quite realistic replicas of tribal life. The exhibitions here can be broadly divided into three categories: open-air exhibitions, indoor galleries and temporary or periodical exhibitions. The first, open-air exhibitions are open to public and display Desert Village, Coastal Village, Mythological Trail, Himalayan Village and Traditional Technology Park, the most striking part of this exhibition being the Tribal Habitat which features life-size dwellings built by tribes. As far as the second category is concerned, there are two indoor galleries, namely Bhopal Gallery and Veethi-Sankul, covering an area of around 1200 sq. m. The main building encompasses indoor and outdoor auditoriums, exhibition halls and other miscellaneous facilities in approximately 16 levels. Approximately 7000 sq. m area is utilised by temporary exhibitions and the building is covered with Dholpur sandstone on all sides.

Moti Masjid is a beautiful mosque of Bhopal city visited by hundreds and thousands of Muslims every year from all corners of the country. The mosque is an important landmark of Bhopal and a magnificent shrine built by the ruler Sikander Begum in the year 1860. Sikander Begum was considered a liberated woman of that time. She has built many important buildings and monuments during her reign and the Moti Masjid was one of them. This mosque went on to become a huge pilgrimage place for the Muslims and till date they visit it for offering their ?prayers. Manua Bhan Ki Tekri, a famous pilgrimage is the beautiful spot for Jain devotees situated atop a hill . Also known as Mahaveer Giri, it is known for its exquisite architecture and panoramic views of the city. The tekri houses the footwear of Jain saint Shri Jindutta Sureshwarji, Maharaj Shri Vijay Suriji and Acharya Manutung, along with an idol of Shri Man Bhadarji. The Simha Gate of the temple features an old manuscript carved on stone, interestingly the language in which it is written is still to be deciphered. It is said to be the Sadhana Sthali of Oswal Dynasty. On the event of Kartik Purnima, a big fare is held in the temple every year.Tekri attracts people of every age group to see the aerial view of Bhopal city. There is a airport nearby it and so you can see aeroplanes landing and taking off the runway. The scenic beauty from here at night is mesmerizing. You can also reach the hill top by cable car facility available here. There is a park for kids . Snacks and cold drinks are also available. There is a temple too.
