Astral flats could be a historic apartment house settled in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, New York.The stellar was in-built 1885-1886 as cheap housing for workers of Charles Pratt’s stellar Oil Works. It’s a vast brick and earthenware building within the Queen Anne vogue. It options a central protrusive section with a deep, 3 story high arch recess. The roof options inward-looking ornamental gargoyles.The building was designed to echo red-brick flats designed for employees by George Elizabeth Palmer Peabody in London. It absolutely was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and selected a town Landmark in 1983.
