Grenville-sur-la-Rouge covers an oblong space of 321.67 km² on the shore of the Ottawa stream and extends northward into the foothills of the Laurentian Mountains. Grenville-sur-la-Rouge surrounds the Village of Grenville, that is delimited to the south by the Ottawa stream.
