The “Zeiller-house” escaped the big fires which destroyed a large part of Reutte in the years 1703 and 1704. On the Southern face of the building there are still fragments of frescos which date back from the year 1600. The paintings on the fascades of the house were created by the Baroque artist Johann Jakob Zeiller (1708-1783) around 1776. His father and teacher, Paul Zeiller (1658-1738) had inherited the house.
