Zebulon is a component of the analysis Triangle metropolitan region. 5 County arena, home to the geographic region Mudcats conference squad, is found in Zebulon. There are three properties in Zebulon listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Wakelon School, Floyd Bennett Bunn Plantation, and therefore the St. George and Neva Barbee House.
