Yumbilla Falls, situated in Peru, Amazonas Region, is the World’s fifth tallest waterfall, and became known internationally only in late 2007. Although the waterfall is magnificent due to its height, the volume of water is not large.The height of waterfall has been measured by Peru’s National Geographic Institute, using laser equipment. The upper rim of waterfall is located 2723.6 m above the sea level but the lower part – 1828.1 m above the sea level, thus the height of falls is 895.5 meters. Waterfall is tiered and has four – five distinct drops, meaning that its total drop is split into four distinct steps.
