Xalisco could be a town and its close municipality of identical within the Mexican state of Nayarit. Town had a population of twenty one,899 within the 2005 census whereas the municipality has a district of 290.6 km² (112.2 sq mi) and a population of forty two,893. The municipality lies adjacent to the side of Tepic, the metropolis, and is a component of the Tepic metropolitan space.Formerly called Jalisco this municipality is found six.4 km. Southwest of Tepic. Within the north it bounds the municipality of Tepic, within the south the municipality of Compostela; within the east the municipality of Santiago Ixcuintla and within the west the municipality of San Blas. The full space is 290.60 sq. Kilometers, that makes it the littlest of the twenty municipalities that compose the state.
