The Wren Building is that the signature building of the faculty of William and female parent in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. Together with the Brafferton and President’s House, these buildings type the College’s Ancient field.Construction of the primary building on this web site began August eight, 1695 and was completed by 1700. Once many fires and rebuildings, the Wren Building was the primary major building fixed or reconstructed by John D. Altruist, Jr., once he and also the Reverend Dr. W.A.R. Goodwin began Colonial Williamsburg’s restoration within the late Twenties.
The building is made out of red wall up the design of Flemish Bond, as was typical for official buildings in seventeenth and eighteenth century Williamsburg, together with many walls remaining from previous structures, and it contains school rooms, offices, a dining-hall (known because the nice Hall), kitchen, and a chapel (added as a south wing in 1732).
