Witzna may be a mid-sized archaeologic website of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, settled within the Petén Basin region of what’s currently northern Central American nation. Important occupancy is dated to the Classic amount of Mesoamerican chronology.
It is placed close to the confluence of the Holmul and Ixcanrío Rivers, rivers, close to the location of Chanchich II.
The site’s main center (dubbed the “Acropolis”) contains many “palace” structures (two of that square measure a pair of storeys high), stepped-pyramid “temples” and a ballcourt.
