Wiracochapampa or Viracochapampa is a archaeological site where are the remains of a building complex of the ancient Peru, dating times Pre-Inca. It is located 3.5 km north of the city of Huamachuco in Sánchez Carrión Province, La Libertad Region, located to an elevation of 3,070 m. It was one of the administrative centers of the Huari or Wari culture.
The site was occupied from the late Middle Horizon 1B time and the first decades of the period 2A, according to the chronology established by Dorothy Menzel, taking as reference the classic division of Horizons and Intermediate John Rowe. Correspond to the centuries VII-VIII of our era.
