Neoclassical palace in Winna Góra – Memory Hall to general Dąbrowski In the landscape park in Winna Góra is a neoclassical palace from 1910, which replaced the XVIIIth-century mansion that used to be a house of J.H. Dąbrowski. In 1987 a Memory Hall to general Dąbrowski was opened and in 1997 it was awarded a title of museum. It contains objects which display general Dąbrowski and his soldiers, militaries, copies of manuscripts with Dąbrowski’s Mazurka. Near the palace on a small island there in a statue in neo-gothic style with an urn containing heart of general Dąbrowski’s adjutant, Stanisław Chłapowski. Winna Góra has been visited by such renowned persons as Juliusz Ursyn Niemcewicz and Henryk Sienkiewicz. In the village there is St. Michael Archangel’s Church in baroque style from 1766. In the aisle of the church there is a grave chapel with sarcophagus and bust of J.H. Dąbrowski.
