Detail InformationEdit

The historic Wilson Building, settled within the Main Street District in downtown city, Texas (USA), could be a 12-story building made in 1904 and stippled once the Paris theatre. The historic structure fronts Main Street on the south, Ervay Street on the east, and Elm Street on the north. The Wilson building was the tallest structure in city from 1904–1909 and was thought of the premier business structure west of the Mississippi. The Wilson Building is placed across from the flagship Neiman Marcus Building and is adjacent to the Mercantile commercial bank Building.
The structure originally housed the Titche-Goettinger emporium within the basement and initial 2 levels; higher levels housed offices accessed through a lobby on Main Street. Before the building’s gap, most of city retail traffic was targeted many blocks to the west. The success of the Wilson Building and Titche-Goettinger convinced Neiman Marcus to make their flagship store across Main Street and forever modified the city’s merchandising history.
