The William poet Porter House or O. Henry home is a historic structure in state capital, Texas. William poet Porter, higher called the author O. Henry, lived there between 1893 and 1895. The Porter house was superimposed to the National Register of Historic Places on June eighteen, 1973. The home is well-known these days because the O. Henry deposit.
The residence remained a rental property till 1930 once it had been to be destroyed to construct a warehouse. The house was given to town of state capital and emotional from its original location at 308 East Fourth Street to its current location at 409 East Fifth Street. The house was renovated and opened as a deposit in 1934. The numerous amount items on show embody a number of the Porter’s article of furniture and private belongings.
