Warren may be a city in urban center County, Rhode Island, u. s.. The population was ten,611 at the 2010 census.According to the u. s. federal agency, the city encompasses a total space of eight.6 sq. miles (22 sq. Kilometer), of which, 6.2 sq. miles (16 sq. Kilometer) of it’s land two|and a couple of|and a pair of}.5 sq. miles (6.5 sq. Kilometer) of it (28.90%) is water. Warren was the location of the Indian village of Sowams on the ground referred to as Pokanoket (the close to elements currently referred to as Mount Hope Neck), and was 1st explored by Europeans in 1621, by colonist and author Hopkins. By following year, Plymouth Colony had established a country store at Sowams. In 1623, colonist and John Hampden saved the lifetime of Algonquian Sachem Indian chief with medication, gaining a crucial native ally.
