Detail InformationEdit

On October three, 2009 Governor David A. Paterson opened the path Over the Hudson State Historic Park as a gift project of the Hudson Fulton Champlain Quadricentennial. The park provides access to the Hudson River’s breathless landscape for pedestrians, hikers, joggers, bicyclists, and other people with disabilities. The bridge stands 212 feet on top of the river’s surface and is half dozen,678 feet (1.28 miles) long, creating it the longest, elevated bridge within the World.
The Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge was in-built the late nineteenth century to link big apple and geographical area to an intensive, nationwide railway network. For many years, it had been a serious rail passageway for each freight and passengers.
