VUDA Park, also known as the Taraka Rama Park. The park was named after former Chief Minister of the State Mr.Taraka Rama Rao. Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority looks after the maintenance of this park which has gained prominence as the recreation centre of the city. Sprawling over 55 acres with 37 of them covered with lawns, VUDA Park is the perfect place for a family outing. Be it leisurely morning or evening walks or families looking to have a day of fun, locals and tourist flock this park with equal zest. The park was built keeping children in mind and has enough activities to keep them entertained throughout the day. VUDA Park offers boating and swimming facilities, a roller skating rink, camel and horse riding, artificial caves, beautiful long lawns, flower gardens and a children’s park and a gymnasium. The children’s playpen is a great hit with the children with a 3000 ball covered area and boxing bags available to play with. The roller skating ring is in accordance with international standards and was one of the venues for the 32nd National Games. Another attraction in the VUDA Park is the first of its kind MGM Dizzee Theme Park which claims to have the largest number of rides in India. It also possesses a water park which can be a perfect getaway during the summers.
