This Ashram was built to honor the late Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda visited Malaysia in 1893 and a statue of him is located in front of the Ashram. Swami Vivekananda was one of the main followers of the mystic Sri Ramakrishna Parmahamsa.
