The Vision of Peace could be a sculpture within the three-story memorial concourse lobby on the Fourth Street entrance of the Saint Paul hall and Ramsey county seat in Saint Paul, Minnesota, us. The memorial to war dead was created by Swedish sculptor Carl Milles. He Drew on reminiscences of a Native yankee ceremony he witnessed in Ponca town, Oklahoma, once he designed the sculpture, Indian God of Peace.
Although there’s no affiliation between Native yankee spirituality and his own vision, Milles delineated 5 Native Americans sitting around a fireplace and holding their sacred pipes. Rising from the smoke of these pipes could be a “god of peace” that Milles imaginary chatting with “all the planet.”
The sculpture weighs or so sixty tons, stands thirty eight feet high, and was graven from creamy white alabaster mistreatment Milles’ all-out model.
