Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary is famous for Gangetic dolphins. The Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary was established to protect the endangered Gangatic dolphins. This is the only sanctuary in Asia for the conservation of Gangetic dolphins. Once found easily in Ganga, today only 1500 Gangetic dolphins are left in the world. The half of them can be found at the Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary.
