The area was heavily logged when the development of the Texarkana and Fort Smith Railway that was later a part of a line that ran from Kansas town to Port Arthur, Texas. Vidor may be a town in western Orange County, Texas, u. s.. A town of Southeast Texas, it lies at the intersection of interstate ten and Farm to promote Road one zero five, six miles east of Beaumont. The city is especially a suburb for the close processing complexes in Beaumont and Port Arthur and is a component of the Beaumont-Port Arthur Metropolitan applied mathematics space. The population was eleven,440 at the 2000 census.
