The triumph Monument, created by sculptor writer Crunelle, was designed to honor the Eighth Regiment of the Illinois territorial, associate African-American unit that served in France throughout war I. It’s placed within the Black Metropolis-Bronzeville District within the Stephen A. Douglas community space of Chicago, Illinois. It had been selected a Chicago Landmark on September nine, 1998.
