Veterná Poruba is a village and municipality in Liptovský Mikuláš District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1353. The municipality lies at an altitude of 819 metres and covers an area of 4.725km². It has a population of about 350 people The village relies on Liptovský Mikuláš for a tax office and police and fire brigade services.
