The bridge, 1,050 feet (320 m) long, contains a main span of 410 feet (120 m) and is fifty one feet (16 m) higher than the water. The route atop the structure is eight lanes wide, with six lanes dedicated to northward and southward traffic (three per direction) and 2 lanes designed for reversible High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV-2) movements.
