Valleyfield, Newfoundland may be a village and was served by the C.N.R. It joined the agricultural District of Badger’s Quay-Valleyfield-Pool’s Island in Apr 1980 till 1992 once the District integrated with alternative near cities to make New-Wes-Valley. Valleyfield contains a sensible harbour, and is that the location of the Beothic Fisheries fish plant. Valleyfield initial seems within the 1891 Census as Northwest Arm, with eleven families living there. It had been settled by families chiefly from Greenspond and Pool’s Island.
The first settlers in Valleyfield were James and Thomas Ricketts, WHO were originally from Seal Cove; William grifter and St. Christopher and John Stratton from Greenspond; Peter and James briary, and patriarch, Samuel, and Abel Stratton. Within the early decennium a lot of individuals moved to Valleyfield as well as the Winters, Starkes, Sturge, Kean, Blackmore, Hunt, and Roberts.
