The town has perfect traffic connections, nice situated, and the ancient monuments made it very popular under the tourists. Around the Main Square (Márc. 15. tér), which was rebuilt in 2006, there are nice baroque public-, and civil houses and statues. The famous Worldly Feast Baroque Festival (Világi Vigalom) is very popular, and waits for the visitors on the last weekend every July. The only one Triumphal Arch of Hungary is situated in Vác, which is the symbol of the town. The street past the building of the prison drives you to the most beautiful promenade at the Danube. There are statues, playgrounds, a music pavillion, and the amazing spectacle of the Danube call the people to walk and relax and you can have a great view from the open air beach. Visitors of the beach often can see the training of the World wide famouse Hungarian waterpolo blue. The town has ferry connection to the Szentendrei Island. From the early spring till the late autumn tripsboats and fast ships run on the river and you can admire the Danube bend from the board of the boat. You can join to the trip in several ports eg. at Vác, Nagymaros or Zebegény. In the sport town of the nation the rowing section and the kayak-canoeing section are famous and have Many talented and successful competitiors. From Budapest to Szob there is a bicycle road.
