The University of Alaska deposit of the North is housed on the University of Alaska Fairbanks field.
The museum’s mission is to amass, conserve, investigate, and interpret specimens and collections about the natural, artistic, and cultural heritage of Alaska and therefore the Circumpolar North. Through education, research, and public exhibits, the deposit serves the state, national, and international science programs. The deposit develops and uses biology, geological, zoological, and cultural collections; these collections kind the idea for understanding past and gift problems distinctive to the North and meeting the challenges of the long run.
