Detail InformationEdit
The prizefighter McCarter Place was a homestead situated within the nice Smoky Mountains of Sevier County, in the U.S. State of Tennessee. Before the institution of the good Smoky Mountains park within the Nineteen Thirties, the homestead belonged to mountain farmer Jacob prizefighter McCarter (1878-1950), a descendant of a number of the area’s earliest European settlers. Whereas McCarter’s home is not standing, many outbuildings- together with a barn, springhouse, corn crib, and smokehouse- have survived, and are placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
