Detail InformationEdit

This is the only museum in Austria dedicated to the 150-year history of the typewriter. There are numerous rare and surprising exhibits on display, e.g. the wooden typewriter built by Peter Mitterhofer in 1868, all the way to today’s high-tech machines. In addition to the development of the traditional typewriter, the museum also presents many special types of typewriters like typewriters for stenographers, typewriters for the blind, toy typewriters and special machines for enciphering text. A unique museum with a total of 450 fascinating exhibits. All models are fully functional!
