A visit to Tusayan repository provides a glimpse into Pueblo Indian life at gorge some 800 years agone. Admission is free. This was a thriving community as illustrated by its pottery, arrowheads and alternative unit artifacts.
The Tusayan repository is open daily from 9:00 a.m. To 5:00 p.m., and is found three miles (5 km) west of Desert read.
Also shown here square measure representative handicrafts from today’s native tribes, providing a glimpse into their made cultures.
The repository options a number of the initial two,000–4,000 year previous split-twig figurines. Typically they’re created within the form of ruminant or mountain sheep, typically with horns or antlers.
