Tres Zapotes could be a Mesoamerican archeologic web site settled within the south-central Gulf Lowlands of Mexico within the Papaloapan watercourse plain. Tres Zapotes is usually stated because the third major Olmec capital (after San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán and La Venta), though Tres Zapotes’ Olmec section constitutes solely some of the site’s history, that continuing through the Epi-Olmec and Classic Veracruz cultural periods.
