Transamerica Tower (colloquially known as the Legg Mason Building and erstwhile referred to as the USF&G building), may be a 40-story edifice in downtown city, Maryland completed in 1973. At 528 feet (161 m), it’s the tallest building in city, the tallest building in Maryland, and also the tallest building between city and Raleigh (after the completion of erythrocyte Plaza in 2008). It’s the previous home of Legg Mason corporation.
The building’s primary dweller was plus manager Legg Mason, Inc., until 2009.2010 the “Legg Mason” sign isn’t any longer at the highest of the building. Previously, the building was occupied by USF&G, however they sold the building once they were purchased by the St. Paul corporations, that is currently a unit of The Travelers corporations.In November of 2011, the building was renamed to the Transamerica Tower, once it had been purchased by Transamerica. Regarding 800 employees from Transamerica presently ar situated within the building.
