Toranmal is an Hill Station in the municipal council of the Nandurbar district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. One can reach through Shahada. It is a hill station located in the Satpura Range. Its Gorakhnath Temple is the site of a Yatra attended by thousands of devotees on Mahashivratri. On that occasion pilgrims walk barefoot for days from surrounding areas in the Nandurbar district but also from Maharashtra.Toranmal hill station is well known in the North Maharashtra region for its beauty and climate since long. It occupies the highest range of Satpudas qualifying it as hill station. Nestled in the dense lush green forests of Satpudas mountain ranges. It still has considerable salubrious and cool climate during summer season. Toranmal has some spectacular viewpoints that offer a picturesque and panoramic view of the surrounding hills and plains. The sight of the deep valleys and the undulating lush green mountains amidst the low clouds that set on Toranmal is an amazing and soothing experience. Viewpoints like the Khadki point and Sunset Point are the most popular ones here. Khadki point is the highest viewpoint of Toranmal and offers panoramic view of the deep gorges and the surroundings.

By Air : Nearest airport to toranmal is located at aurangabad.

By Train : The nearest railway station is in the town of Nandurbar, which lies seventy six kilometers away from the town of Toranmal. Regular trains to the town of Nandurbar will be available from Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Puri, Surat, Amravati, Mumbai, Bikaner and Okha. Train fares will range around Rs 150 to 200 from Surat and other cities in Gujarat to Toranmal. Train tickets need to be booked well in advance.

By Bus : Nearest bus depot is at Shahada which is 55km from Toranmal. Nasik 305 km 6 hours. Hire a jeep or Sumo for Toranmal Rs 5 – 6 per km for non-AC vehicle.
