1. Hadimba Temple

A Pagoda styled shrine in the midst of a deep cedar forest, Hadimba temple resembles the Naggar Temple. A four-story structure, with exquisite woodcarvings has a huge Shikhara that towers over the shrine. Beautiful carving of Goddess Durga embellishes the doors of the temple. A windy conduit through forests and dells of sighing Deodars sets an imposing atmosphere to this lovely temple. These wooded surroundings would definitely rejuvenate one’s mind.

2. Solang Valley (Snow Point)

The gorgeous Solang valley, particularly a pictorial spot presenting awesome scenery of snow clad mountains and glaciers. Solang valley, also known as Snow Point is famous for its 300 m ski lift. The valley is reachable by taxi or trekking is another option.The place is also well known for adventurous sports whether summer sports or winter sports. Parachuting, skating/skiing, zorbing and paragliding are some of the famous sports played here. Few ski agencies also offer different courses as well as equipment to enjoy but these agencies are active only in winter seasons since snow melts in summer season.it is best to visit Solang Valley during the months of January and February, when this spot becomes busy with activities. This fabulous place is also the center of the annual winter skiing festival.

3. Zorbing

Zorbing is one adventurous sport that can be enjoyed while visiting Manali. This adventure sport began here only in the year 2002, when the adventure operators imported the zorbs from New Zealand. Zorbs are made of transparent plastic and the adventure requires no skill but huge amount of courage. In this adventure, the person is slid inside the zorb and then it is then rolled down the slope. A maximum of two people (whose combined weight is not more than 120 kg) can zorb together. The zorbers are instructed to hold on to the harness places inside the zorb and after ensuring all the safety, these zorbs are made to roll down on 100 meters ride on a gradient. The more adventurous can opt for a 150 meter grade, to make the zorb roll at a higher speed.

4. Rahala Falls

The Rahalla falls are the result of melting glaciers. It is a natural spot where tourist can view the natural beauty. It is also become one of the famous tourist spot. It lies on the way to Rohtang Pass and the area around the Rahalla falls is marvelous, can’t be expressed in words. It provides the very clear view of surroundings. Its surroundings also include silver birch trees, forest of deodar. The fresh and aromatic air provides relaxation, piece of mind to the visitors. It is not difficult to reach at Rahalla falls.

5. Vashisht Baths

Vashisht Baths is a tiny hamlet with natural sulphur springs. Emanating from the mountains of Vashisht, the sulphur springs gush hot and medicinal, endowed with great healing powers. Above the main square stand two old stone temples dedicated to sage Vashisht and Lord Rama. Legend has it that the great sage had narrated Yoga Vashishta, an ancient scripture to Lord Rama. This, ostensibly, was an extremely profound discourse that offered an insight into the inner world of consciousness. The smaller of the two temples dedicated to Vashisht opens to a partially covered courtyard with an ornamental shrine that has blackened by years of oil-lamp and incense smoke. This ornate quadrangle is also a resting place of wayfarers especially ascetics who unwind with a glass of tea or smoke chillums.

6. Manali Trekking

Manali, Himachal Pradesh is paradise for trekkers and offers a virtual bonanza for them. April-May for low altitude trekking & camping & June to October is season for trekks (moderate to strenuous), which could range up to 11 days.

7. Basheshwar Mahadev Temple

The temple, situated on the banks of River Beas, is known for its stone carvings, sculptures and shikharas or towers which are flat topped. The temple enshrines a large idol of the ‘Yoni Lingam’ which represents Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction, and his consort, Goddess Parvati. Floriated scrollwork decorate the exterior of the temple while intricate stone carvings the inside. Small shrines of Vishnu; the Hindu god of preservation, Laxmi; the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, Durga; the embodiment of feminine force in the Hindu religion, and Ganesha, the Hindu elephant-god, can be seen outside the temple.

8. Paragliding in Manali

In Manali this game is playing during summer season. Fresher or experienced both can do paragliding as it is done under training of professional guides. Manali is considered as ideal place for the supporter of paragliding. The game is avoided in the season of winter because of the unsuitable conditions or weather. The best time for paragliding in Manali is May to September as in these months weather is suitable and the breeze is also favorable. It is really a thrilling experience to fly in sky and view the surroundings. There is least risk while paragliding as the professional pilot is taking care of every thing. For inexperienced person there is short flight and for experienced person there is high flight.

9. River Rafting in Manali

White water river rafting is possible in Beas River at Manali. Beas river good for white water rafting, Kayaking, canoeing and other water sports. Rafting Spot at Manali: Pirdi down to Jhiri section near Bajaura in Kullu district. This 15kms rafting distance having grade II and grade III rapids. Pirdi is 45kms far from Manali.

10. Gelukopa Cultural Society Gompa

This monastery in Manali contains statues of bodhisattvas, revered lamas and deities of Buddha. The Gompa is more of a traditional and has an atmospheric prayer room. Besides, one can also see the small workshop inside the premises that produces Tibetan carpets.
