Taj Mahal

Moti Masjid

Moti Masjid is a mosque situated in the premises of the Agra Fort besides the right bank of the river Yamuna. The Moti Masjid or the Pearl Mosque, built between 1648-54, stands on the ground that slopes from east to west to the north of Diwan-I-Am complex. It is known so because of its pearly white marble interiors. The exteriors of the mosque seem to be made of brick.

Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid in Agra is opposite the Agra fort and overlooking the Agra Fort Railway Station. The Jama Mashjid is also popularly knowns as the Jami Masjid or “Friday Mosque”. It is one of the larger Mosque in India. Jami Masjid Mosque is a very simple mosque of red sandstone with little white marble decoration and blue colour paint wall and ceilings.

Itimad-Ud-Daula’s Tomb lies on the bank of river Yamuna and some 2 km away from Ram-Bagh circle (NH2). Itmad-Ud-Daulah, also known as the ‘Baby Taj’, is the first monument in India built entirely in marble.

Chini Ka Rauza

Chini-ka-Rauza is considered a milestone in Indo-Persian architecture, as it is the very first building in India that has been exclusively decorated by the glazed tile works. The decoration is prominent on façade and exteriors. Chini-ka-Rauza is actually a small mausoleum that overlooks the River Yamuna.

Buland Darwaza

Buland Darwaza,the name means ‘High Door’ and this victory arch rises to a height of 40 meters or 175 feet. It is the most striking monument in Fatehpur Sikri and can be seen from quite a distance. Rising impressively towards the sky, the Buland Darwaza is approached by a series of steps. You will pass under the massive arch of the Buland Darwaza when you enter the city of Fatehpur Sikri.

Diwan-i-Am

Diwan-i-Am, famed to be a hall located in the middle of Agra Fort, is built in 1628 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. This hall is meant for the public audience who assemble in Agra Fort. The architectural style of this pavilion is a perfect mix of Persian and Indian architectural styles. The hall is supported by well constructed forty carved pillars.
