The city is known as for its proximity to a few rivers, the Atascosa stream, the Frio stream, and therefore the Nueces stream (the Atascosa joins the Frio north of town, whereas the Frio joins the Nueces south of the city). Originally named Hamiltonburg, town name was modified once mail meant for town was accidentally delivered to Hamilton, Lone-Star State instead. 3 Rivers may be a town in oak County, Texas, us. The population was one,878 at the 2000 census.
