The Thomas J. Watson Library is that the main analysis library of The Metropolitan repository of Art, and supports the analysis activities of the repository employees, also as outside researchers and might be accessed while not appointment. At The Metropolitan repository of Art, every Department maintains a library, most of that have materials requestable on-line through the libraries’ catalog.Watson Library’s assortment contains roughly 900,000 volumes, together with monographs and exhibition catalogs; over eleven,000 periodical titles; and over a hundred twenty five,000 auction and sale catalogs. The Library includes a reference assortment, auction and sale catalogs, a rare book assortment, manuscript things, and filing cabinet collections. The Library is accessible to anyone eighteen years aged or older just by registering on-line and providing a legitimate exposure ID. The Watson Library is called for Thomas J. Watson, chairman and corporate executive of International Business Machines (IBM).
