It’s the oldest endlessly operative company of its type west of the Mississippi River and also the seventh oldest within the nation. The corporate was started in 1922 by Mrs. Paul Reed and Mrs. W. R. Holway beneath the name of urban center theatre (TLT). Not like several community theaters, Theatre urban center managed to stay active throughout the whole length of Depression and even became the primary community theater in America to supply Our city by playwright in 1939.
In 1942 the corporate placed on the primary of the many period of time performances at many Army bases and military hospitals. In 1947 TLT was the primary community theatre company to supply All My Sons by Miller. In 1974 TLT modified its name to Theatre urban center, Inc. Theatre urban center remains active nowadays manufacturing 5 or six productions a year that embody trendy and classic dramas, comedies, and musicals.
